Tour to Szentendre

The cruise starts from the port of Wiking Yacht Club in Budapest. We leave the dockyard island toward our destination the jewel box of Danube band, Szentendre. You can discover the hidden beauty, the flora and fauna of Szentendre island when we reach the southern edge of it. We turn into the small branch of the River Danube along the Lupa island to enjoy the soft contours of Pilis mountains. Szentendre at the submontane greets its visitors with a unique picture of the riverside. The Mediterranean atmosphere of the town can be felt from this perspective most of all.

The following individual programs are available after anchoring: Sightseeing by coach, museum visit, supper in a smart restaurant. - In case of anchoring the waiting period shall be paid! The cruising time to and back is approximately 1 hour.

Voyage to Szentendre and Budapest sightseeing together!

We cruise to the downtown of Budapest during the first part of the excursion. We can enjoy a picturesque view at the very beginning of our voyage. We cruise along the most beautiful part, the Margaret island, of Budapest being a popular place for all, who want to relax.

We can relax under the huge planes and the Chinese Wellingtonia trees or can walk in paths crossing the pond system of the Japanese garden or in the Rose garden. We can visit a lot of beautiful sights, such as the water-tower, the Musical fountain and the ruins of the Franciscan church or the passage of artists with the busts of the most famous Hungarian artists.

Our next stop after the Margaret Island is the heart of Budapest. The beautiful view of the Danube side and the picturesque buildings attract the eyes. The following nice symbols of our capital can be enjoyed from the board of the yacht: the House of Parliament, the Royal Palace or the Statue of Liberty on the Gellért-hill high above Budapest. We turn to North at the National Theatre. We can have one more short look at the sights of Budapest cruising upward on the River Danube and the appearance of the Pilis mountain informs us that we are going to arrive to Szentendre.
